What is a home energy storage system?

Home energy storage systems refers to a system that stores generated electricity through energy storage technology for future household use. These systems store electricity during off-peak hours and discharge it during peak hours to compensate for power shortages. Using a water tank as an analogy might make it easier to understand—simply put, in the past, people’s concept of storage was limited to storing water. However, with our lives now filled with elevators, electric vehicles, and even electronic door locks, the impact of a power outage on daily life has become incomparable to before.
In recent years, power outages caused by extreme weather have become increasingly frequent worldwide, raising awareness among households about preparedness and increasing their willingness to install energy storage systems. By storing excess electricity during normal times, these systems can support the operation of critical facilities such as emergency escape, medical care, and rescue operations in the event of a disaster-induced power outage.
